Non-profits need our help

We have asked you a few times over the last four months to consider supporting your favorite non-profit organization in the best way you can. Today, we are asking that you consider volunteering your time or making a donation to the San Antonio Food Bank or Meals on Wheels. Both of these organizations have been tirelessly dedicated to feeding members of our community at staggering levels since the onset of the pandemic, and they are in dire need of volunteers and funds to help continue their missions.

Please remember that organizations like Haven for Hope still need donations and monetary support. Additionally, you can assist local non-profits and families by donating to the COVID-19 Community Response Fund.

Finally, the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center continues to ask San Antonians to donate blood. Blood donations are traditionally lower during the summer months and are even lower this year because of COVID-19. Please consider donating blood if you are able.

While we have indeed been faced with difficult times during this pandemic, we have also seen our community rally and come together to support our neighbors across the city. I know we will get through this together and be stronger, more resilient, and more successful than ever before.

Thank you for being part of this amazing community!
